Mildred Kathleen Jackson, age 99, of Blountville, TN passed away Saturday, March 30, 2017 at Cornerstone Village Along with her parents E.S. Glover and Cora Garst Glover she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Rowe Jackson. She is survived by her sons: Sid Jackson and wife, Carol of Piney Flats, TN, Joe Jackson and wife Genie of Blountville, TN; grandchildren: Kristen Jackson of Nashville, TN and Rebecca Adcock and husband, Jonathan of Stuart, VA. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the graveside in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. There is a great reunion in heaven. As you may remember that your mother and my mother, Mary Eleanor (McDowell) LeSueur were best friends throughout elementary and high school and remained good friends until Mother left this earth 20 years ago. Both of your parents came to her funeral. I did not know your mother was still alive until I saw the obit this morning. When we moved back to this area a few years ago, I remember seeing an article in the paper about her making quilts for babies as a ministry from the Methodist Church. I remember that she has lots of creative talent for sewing as did your grandmother,Mrs.Glover. I pass their house almost every day and have often wondered if your parents were still alive. I am so sorry I missed the information when your dad passed away. I do remember how proud your mother was of both of you boys. She often talked to Mother about what you were doing.
