Katherine Mae Rutherford, Age 82, formerly of Bristol, VA passed away peacefully Monday, January 11, 2010 in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Mrs. Rutherford was born July 29, 1927 in Maitland, WV, the daughter of the late Walter E. and Hattie B, Davis. She married Charles "Chuck" Rutherford on May

7, 1945 in Welch,WV. Mr Rutherford preceded her in death in 2001.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Roger D. Rutherford, wife Cheryl, of Denton, Tx. Fred Rutherford, wife Karla, of Amarillo, TX and a Daughter, Rita Fawley, husband Donn

of Stephens City, VA. son-in-law Bill Roark, Bristol, VA

Grandchildren, Dana Wells, husband Jeff, Garek Fawley wife Christine, Blake Rutherford, wife Tisza, Kreg Rutherford wife Robin, Ryan Rutherford wife, Melissa,

Brock Rutherford, wife Natalyia and Billy and Brian Roark. 7 special Greatgrandchildren, Aubrey, Evan and Brady Wells, Kathleen and Matthew Fawley, Brianna Vanmeter, Reagan Rutherford and

Gracie Jo Rutherford.



A sister, Patricia Allen, Waynesville, NC, brothers, Buddy Davis, wife Betty, Charles Davis wife Shirley, and John Davis, wife Evelyn all of Bluefield VA.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins.



She was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Roark a grandson Bradley Roark and a brother, Robert Davis.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday 11:00 A.M. at East Bristol Church of Christ, Bonham Road, Bristol VA. Rev. Clifford Newell will officiate. Inturnment will be at Mountain View Mausoleum, Valley drive, Bristol, VA Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Garek Fawley, Ryan Rutherford, Blake Rutherford, Brian Roark, brothers in Christ, Dennis Salyer and Ronnie Shockley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13 froim 7-9 PM at Akard Funeral Home, State Street, Bristol TN. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
