Anna Ragan Cantwell, age 103, of Johnson City, TN passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010 in Wellington Place of Johnson City.

Mrs. Cantwell was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Joseph L. Cantwell. She taught high school in Richmond, Va., for about 10 years. Mrs. Cantwell taught at Virginia Intermont College for 20 years, starting their home economics courses. Mr. and Mrs. Cantwell moved to Asbury Center in 1984, with Mrs. Cantwell moving to Wellington Place in 1996. She was a member of State Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Cantwell of Bristol, VA and Cam Cantwell and wife, Belinda J. of Weaverville, NC and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Tara Louise, Lisa Ragan and Cameron Cody.

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, January 28, 2010 in State Street United Methodist Church.
