Mildred L. Johnson, age 88, of Bristol, TN passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.

She was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and the daughter of the late John C. and Lillie Mae Campbell Lane. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton C. Johnson; nine brothers and sisters.

She was a retired employee of Unisys and a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda S. Phipps of Bristol, TN; one son, Arthur L. Johnson of Kingsport, TN; two sisters, Nonie Mullen of Bristol, TN and Mary Greever of Pearisburg, VA; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Jones officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday in Knollkreg Memorial Park, Abingdon, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Tuesday prior to the service.
