Margie Farmer Alanny Stephens

Margie Farmer Alanny Stephens (Aunt Margie) of Bristol, VA went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at her home after a long illness.

She was a native of Russell County, Virginia and made her home in the Bristol area most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Hubbard Farmer. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, one brother, and one sister, one grandson and three nieces.

She was a member of Fellowship Chapel.

Survivors include her son, Michael Stephens and wife, Wrethe of Idaho; two sisters, Juanita Childress of Bristol, VA and Gayleen Combs and husband, Walter of Galax, VA; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Poston and Rev. Scott Price officiating. The committal service and interment will be private in Russell Memorial Park, Lebanon, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Saturday prior to the service.
