Charles Davidson Jr., age 82 of Bristol, VA passed away Saturday, April 17 at Erwin Health Care.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Larry Davidson.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Iris Opal Davidson; three daughters, Phyllis Eaton, Wanda Davidson and Kathy Davidson Vestal; one son, Henry T. Davidson; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Davidson, Rusty Harmon, Rocky Pate, Buddy Combs, Jonathon Roberts and Ray Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Allan Davidson, Tyler Shane Davidson, Sam Cook, Daniel McGeorge and James Vestal. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Monday at Akard Funeral Home.
