Jeanne Delvaux King, age 90, of Bristol, VA passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at NHC of Bristol.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Blue Stocking Club (sustaining member); Junior League of Bristol formerly Border Guild; Parrish Study Club; 1931 History Club; Bristol Historical Association and a Candy Striper. She enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong.

She was a graduate of Transylvania College in Lexington, Kentucky and Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Annie Eliza Delvaux; her husband, M. Frazier King in 2008; sisters-in-law, Jean Delvaux, Lois King Tilley; brother-in-law, James G. Tilley, Jr. and grand-nephew, Keith Tilley.

Survivors include two sons, M. Frazier King, Jr. of Houston, TX and Thomas King of Bristol, VA; brother, Thomas Delvaux, Jr.; nieces, Mimi Tilley, Martha Williams and husband, Bart and Suzanne Rhinehardt and husband, Eric; nephews, James G. Tilley, III and wife, Maureen, King Tilley and wife Louise, Thomas Delvaux, III and wife, Sally, William Delvaux and wife, Heidi and John Delvaux and wife Becky; grand-nephews, James G. Tilley, IV and wife, Melissa, Beau Tilley and wife, LaToya, Justin and J.R. Allen and Thomas Delvaux; grand-nieces, Lisa Hinkle and husband, James , Karen Albertson and husband, Phil, Rachael and Abegal Delvaux, Elizabeth Delvaux, India, Larkin and Chloe Rhinehardt and Baird, Kate, Jeannie and Maddie Williams; two great-grand-nephews, Jeremy and Van Albertson and one great-grand-niece, Devin Albertson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 24, 2010 in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gordon Turnbull officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2: 00 P.M. at the church.
