Walter Robert Wampler, Sr., 85, of Bristol, TN, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 25, 2010, in Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Wampler was the son of the late Samuel James Wampler, and Mary Rachel Montgomery Wampler. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lois Morrison Wampler, and two brothers, Floyd and Landon Wampler.

Mr. Wampler was a native of Bristol, TN, and a retired farmer. He was a lifetime member of the Sullivan County Livestock Association. He attended Weaver Union Church.

Mr. Wampler is survived by one son Walter Robert Wampler, Jr., and his wife Sandra.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 27, 2010, in Weaver Cemetery with Rev. John Roe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, April 26, 2010, at Akard Funeral Home.
