Eula Jean McClellan Whitaker
Eula Jean McClellan Whitaker, 85, a devoted loving wife and mother, a good and faithful servant was joyfully reunited in Spirit with her husband and family. She was received into God’s Loving Presence on Saturday morning, May 8, 2010 at Welmont Bristol Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness of cardiovascular disease.
She was a native of Bristol, Tennessee, residing at 1447 Holston Drive and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was a loyal employee for D. B. Ryland & Co. Jewelers for more than 45 years, having retired from there in December 1989 with her husband, John F. Whitaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lotus Agee and Elbert Sevier McClellan; her husband, John Fennessee Whitaker, Sr. and a brother, Paul Sevier McClellan.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Jean Whitaker; her son, John Fennessee Whitaker, Jr.; four sisters, Dorothy M. Trinkle, Evelyn M. Gilmer, Mildred Lee McClellan and Marian M. Turner and her husband Bill Turner; sister-in-law, Ellen W. McGlade and brother-in-law, William G. Whitaker as well as several nieces and nephews.
A special gratifying thanks to all the friends and family whose love and prayers gave her joy and peace.

The funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. Gordon Turnbull presiding. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM in the Church Chapel. The Committal service and interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Whitaker, Jr., Frank Molteni, Bill Burriss, Dr. Fred Greear, Bob Carrier, Garrett Payne, Joe Kerr, Dean Tillison, Frank Krantz, and Randy Ramey.
