Arbon Eaton, age 95, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Wellmont Hospice House.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elic and Lucinda Leonard Eaton; his wife, Mary Ellen Utsman Eaton and one son, Donald Eaton.

He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a member of Bethel View Baptist Church. He was a retired contractor and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include three sons, John W. Eaton and wife, Joan Booher Eaton of Vienna, VA; Bobby Eaton, Sr. and wife, Jennie Harrison Eaton and Gary W. Eaton, all of Bristol, TN; three grandchildren, William A. Eaton and John Mark Eaton, both of Vienna, VA and Bobby M. Eaton, II of Blountville, TN; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be sent to Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steele’s Rd., Bristol, TN 37620.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andy Wood and Rev. Jack Bennett officiating. Committal service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday in Shelby Hills Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and men of Bethel View Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Saturday prior to the service at Akard Funeral Home.
