Ada L. Nelson, age 85, of Blountville, TN went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Wellmont Hospice House.

She was a native of Washington County, VA and had made her home in Blountville for many years. She was the daughter of the late George and Belle Reed Camper and the widow of Hedrick Nelson. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bud Camper, Roy Camper and John Camper.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Stinson and husband, Bobby of Blountville, TN; one son, Wayne Nelson of Blountville, TN; six sisters, Willa Bray of Myrtle Beach, SC; Edna Vannoy of Abingdon, VA; Ree Moore, Lois Banton, Jean Connors and Joann Norwood, all of Richmond, VA; one brother, Grant Camper of OH; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 21, 2010 in First Baptist Church of Blountville with Dr. Clay Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens with Rev. Sidney Payne officiating. Pallbearers will be Alan Nelson, Monty Nelson, Jeff Stinson, Travis Stinson, Mike Stinson, and Dalton Stinson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M., Sunday at Akard Funeral Home
