Reasons Why You Should Plan Your Funeral
Peace of mind is important to each of us. To help the families that we serve gain peace of mind, we make available to them several options for inflation-proof funeral pre-arrangement. We will be pleased to provide information that shows how a person can:
• Save money on funeral costs.
• Decide now, with your loved ones, rather than leaving the decision for when the time comes.
• Spare your family the unnecessary burden of having to make important decisions while under emotional stress.
• Lock in funeral costs, regardless of your age and health.
• Pay once, or make easy, affordable monthly payments.
In these times of limited income and escalating prices, some people think only about getting by, but they may be overlooking important protection for their loved ones. When the time comes, making final arrangements can be a terrific emotional and financial strain, especially when no decisions were made beforehand. Don't put it off! The older a person gets the more he or she will have to pay for this kind of peace of mind. Think of the family and loved ones and act now. There is no cost or obligation.

Because You Care
When death comes it brings with it a time of tremendous sadness and stress. Combined with the urgent responsibility of arranging a funeral and the financial obligation that comes with the funeral service and merchandise selected, it can be an overwhelming experience.

Makes Your Wishes Known
Many people today have an idea, or least a notion, of how they would like their funeral conducted. By prearranging we can help you clarify your preferences and put them in writing. Writing your wishes down ensures that your family and Funeral Director know exactly what kind of funeral you want. This helps to avoid family disagreements or involvement by others who may not know what your wishes are. Families tend to take comfort at the time of death simply from knowing their loved one's funeral reflects his or her wishes.

Ensures All Important Information Is Available
Properly arranging and conducting a funeral service requires a good deal of information. Unfortunately, in most cases, the person best qualified to provide that information is the person for whom the arrangements are being made. Many times families are unable to readily provide the information needed to complete the arrangements or inaccurate information is given thus leading to delays and more stress for the family. By prearranging you make sure all information is accurately recorded and available for when it is needed.

Protects You Against Inflation
According to the National Funeral Directors Association, funeral prices have nearly doubled in the last ten years. That means a funeral that cost $3,000 ten years ago cost almost $6,000 today. No one can predict what funeral prices will be in the future, but if the past is any indication, a $6,000 funeral could cost $12,000 ten years from now! By prearranging now you can pay for your funeral based on today’s prices even though your funeral may not occur for another 10, 20 or even 50 years. It’s one of the best financial investments you can make for yourself and your family.

Prearranging Your Funeral
While talking about one’s funeral may be a little uncomfortable for many, the mechanics of planning one’s funeral are not difficult. The planning process can be boiled down to 3 easy steps that generally take less than a couple of hours. Our staff of experienced professionals will walk you through each step and even make recommendations if you are not sure about something.

Step One - Gathering Information
This is just a matter of putting in writing all your biographical and other important information about your life, your career and your family. These are all the facts you'll want everyone to know and remember and that are crucial to conducting a funeral service. This is also a good time to write down all the personal information that will make your funeral more meaningful, such as hobbies and special interests.
|
Step Two - Making Arrangements
With this step, you'll make the choices about the type of funeral service you would like, what kind of casket or urn, the outer container you might want and other details. We will explain all your options, answer all your questions and outline all the costs. We will also provide you with a general price list detailing all the services and items we offer and their cost.
|
Step Three - Funding The Funeral
We offer a pre-funding program which lets you completely alleviate the financial burden on your family and in time could save hundreds and even thousands of dollars in the process. We also offer a number of easy, convenient pay plans and will work with you to set up a plan to meet your budget. Should you move or relocate your plan can be transferred to another Funeral Home.
Convenient payment plans are available which will freeze the cost at today's prices. Plans are available for those who wish to set aside funds as they qualify for SSI.

Flexibility
While the ideal funeral arrangement, the one that provides the greatest benefit to your loved ones, includes all 3 steps, this is not required. At present you may only be interested in step 1 or step 2. This is perfectly fine. Our goal is to meet your needs and wishes and that of your family. Any one of the preceding steps alone will be of great benefit to your loved ones. However, all 3 combined will provide the greatest benefit.
Families have found that by funeral pre-arrangement they are relieved of having to make many decisions at a very difficult time. The funeral pre-arrangement decisions may be made regardless of whether any financial arrangements are made. By pre-arranging, a person's personal wishes may be expressed and assured.
If financial arrangements are made, Covenant can provide the services and merchandise selected at no additional cost to the family.
