I remember the first time I meet Mrs. Cummins and that was in 1964. I took DE under Mr. Cummins at VHS and they invited the class over for a cook out and I thought she was so very pretty and most kind. Her beauty was proof in the pudding....look how beautiful she was in this picture. I would like to be able to attend her service but have other commitments at that time.

I have often wondered about her and her brother brother-in-law, Mr. Harold Cummins whereabouts. I didn't know until one or two years ago that Mr. Jack & Mr. Harold Cummins where from Big Stone Gap, Va. My husband is from Norton Va. and we meet up in Lexington, Ky. with a lot of friends from Big Stone Gap, Va. for the horse races. One of the friends is a teacher at UVA@Wise and in talking to him and his wife I found out that he taught at VHS (after my 1964 year) & at John Battle before going to UVA@Wise. I asked if he knew Mr. Harold Cummins and he said yes and to make a longer story short, not only did he & his wife did but the whole group did (a lot from Big Stone Gap, Va) & they knew the whole Cummins family so I asked how? They informed me that Jack, Harold & family is from Big Stone Gap, Va. & Harold moved back to Big Stone & is still living. Some say they see him once in awhile & I told them when they do to please tell him, Delores (Roark) Still, Class of 1964 VHS said hello & I have often thought about him. I always liked him as a teacher and a person for he was always kind to me. He didn't pick on me in class like Mr. Jack Cummins did but I liked Jack also. I think Jack liked for his bark to sound louder than it really was meant to be.

If Mr. Harold Cummuns is at the service tomorrow & you see this before he goes back home, please tell or read this to him....he has always been one of my favorite teachers & thought & wondered about often. We will be at UVA@Wise Saturday for an event & I shall inquire about him again.

May you find peace & comfort in knowing your mother is now with her beloved Jack & her Lord who created us and who she served. May God bless each of you and always be with you.

in honor of Angaline.

I was blessed to meet Angie last October in her home. We shared Hamilton family photos and family tree info. Angie was so kind, helpful, and a joy to be around. Sincere condolences to all her loved ones from this 1st cousin 2x removed. My heart cries as she has been on my mind a lot recently. Anna Lane Long
