Edna Mae Turner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edna Mae Turner, age 87, passed away on June 9, 2022, in Blountville, Tennessee. She was a native of Bristol, Tennessee, and a graduate of Tennessee High School. She worked in the insurance business for over 30 years before retiring. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Turner, and brother O.W. Rouse. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Turner Odom and her husband, John; grandson John David Odom, all of Bluff City, Tennessee; stepson, Marshall Turner and his wife, Terri; grandson, Trey Turner; granddaughter, Allie Turner, all of Georgia; brothers, Robert Rouse and his wife, Priscilla, of Bristol, Tennessee, and Bill Rouse of Johnson City, Tennessee; nephews Eric Rouse of Bluff City, Tennessee, David Rouse of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Brad Rouse of Johnson City, Tennessee. Edna loved her family very much. They were the light of her life. Special thanks to Oakmont and the Waters for the wonderful care they gave her over the years. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M.; Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Korrell officiating. The committal service will be conducted Monday, June 13, 2022, at Glenwood Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Marshall Turner, Blair Jones, Hugh Testerman, Chet Sikorski, Eric Rouse, and John Odom.
