Emma Sue Howington Mobley

Emma Sue Howington Mobley, age 93, of Blountville, TN passed away at her home Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She was preceded by death by her parents, Rev. Charles David and Mary Sue Howington; her husband, William R. Mobley and all nine of her siblings. She was an active member of Blountville Baptist Church and Blountville Christian Church. Emma worked as a beautician and for North Electric and Sperry Univac. Survivors include her son, Gary Richard Mobley of Bristol, TN; daughters, Barbara Dale Mobley of Blountville, TN and Karen Sue Salley of Bristol, TN; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 29, 2022 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Clay Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M., Friday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to your favorite charity.
