Henry Ford Keene

Henry Ford Keene, age 73, of Bristol, VA passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at his home. He was born in Buchanan County, VA to the late Leonard and Celia Lowe Keene. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Emma Keene Arnold HE was a farmer and retired after 23 years of service from Reynold Metal. Henry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dottie Estes Keene; four children, Richard Ford Keene and wife, Teresa; Rebecca Keene Collins and husband, Chuck; Tommy Keene and wife, Tammy and David Keene and wife, Rebecca; eleven grandchildren, Skyla, Serena and Serenity Keene; Joseph Collins, Andrew Collins and wife, Carrie; Cody Collins and Lakyn Graybeal; Michael Blevins and Mitchell Blevins; Karmen Osborne; Samantha Justis; Thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley McCracken; June Walker and Sue Miller; four brothers, Allen Keene; Randy Patterson, Larry Patterson and Barry Patterson and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Reynolds Metal “B” Crew, Jimmy Johnson, Jimmy Capps and to Wellmont Hospice for all they did for the family. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 26, 2015 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Johnson, Andy Autry, Joseph Tate, Danny Fleenor, Michael Countiss and Joe Denton. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Necessary, Grady Collins and Silas Offield. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 1:00 P.M., Saturday prior to the service.
