Janice Faye Saltz Jackson, age 71, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 8, 2019 after a brief stay at the Ballad Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Janice was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of West Hills Christian Church in Bristol, TN. She is preceded in death by her father, Earnest Ray Saltz; mother, Margaret Jessie Hamby Saltz and brother, Bobby David Saltz. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Jackson; son, Jimmy Duane Jackson of Bristol, VA; grandsons, Dustin Isaac Jackson and wife Becca of Piney Flats, TN, Tyler Jordan of Bristol, TN; granddaughter, Savannah Jackson; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn (Gracie) Hope Jackson, James Walker Jackson and Kathleen (Katie) Rose Jackson; sister, Joyce Jackson and her husband, Ralph; brother’s and sister’s --in- Law, Bascom and Janice Jackson, William and Frances Lovett and Linda Keith, all of Bristol, Joann Harless of South Carolina, David and Rosemary Jackson of Oklahoma City; a very special and dedicated friend, Bobbie Pinkston; several nieces and Nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 pm Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Young of West Hills Christian Church officiating. The committal and interment will be in Shipley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jackson, Richie Hess, Chuck Harless, John Gideon, Jr., Clayton Gideon, Shane Fick. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Akard Funeral Home.
