John Kendall North

John Kendall North, age 58 of Bristol, VA went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 13,2021 with his loving wife by his side at home after a long struggle with cancer. John was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 9,1962 to the late Oliver and Betty North. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Anne North Jones. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife and life-long partner of 24 years, Sonia Kiser North; three daughters, Amy North, Heather North and Nicole Taylor; three grandchildren, Kaydence Synder, Triston Atkinson and Noah Atkinson; and one sister, Brenda Allegrucci. John was a military veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved God, his Country and friends. John’s loyalty and generosity were just a few of his great attributes of qualities. John was a commercial fisherman for 14 years. He loved the ocean and gardening, being outside in God’s creation. He was a man of many talents. He had a business in town called “A Handyman Services”. He could do anything from remodeling of homes, plumbing, AC, electrical, roofing, siding, painting, laying flooring, pressure washing, and refurbishing old things to make new again. The family would like to thank Mountain Home VA for all the wonderful care that was given to him by Jeffery Cook, Michele Johnson and the many others of the staff and the staff of Caris Hospice. And of course, our pastors, Roy Hull and Ritchie Carmody for administering the love of God. Due to Covid-19 there will be no services at this time. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
