Nancy Sue Brown, of Bluff City, TN, went to be with her loving husband Bob, and son, Tom on Thursday, March 7, 2019 Nancy taught 3 year olds for 20 years at Sullins Academy as well as children in Sunday School at Euclid Avenue Baptist Church where she served on numerous committees, sang in the choir and was a church hostess. She was the first sausage biscuit and gravy master for the Mens Prayer Group at the church. She served as a youth counselor and cook for many years. Nancy, her friend, Ruth Keller, started many 3 year old preschool programs in the Tri-Cities area. Nancy’s children will always remember her as a kind, gentle and nurturing mother who was beautiful inside and out. When scared, she provided peace, when there was a problem she was the solution. She is missed but is where she has lived for and longed for the most. Our hearts are shattered by the loss, but whole because of the love she provided each of us. Thank you for your unconditional love. We love you Mom. Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Brown; son, Tom Brown; parents Jessee and Alice Montgomery and brother, Jim Montgomery. She is survived by her son, Mike Brown (Shelly); daughters, Vickie Brown Teague (John Abe), Elaine Brown Hoffert (Rick); 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 11, 2019 at Euclid Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Allen Roberts and Dr. Robert Russell officiating. The committal and interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be John A. Teague, Richard Hoffert, Jonathan Teague, Jason Teague, Jared Voller and Adam Morgan. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jeff Hoffert. The family will receive friends 12 Noon to 1:45 pm prior to the service.
