Peggy D. Peters of Bristol, Virginia passed away Friday, January 08, 2021 at her residence. She was a graduate of Valley Institute High School and Bristol Commercial College. She served as secretary at Monroe Calculating Company for 10 years and worked in the engineering department at Sprint for 18 years. She was also a Certified Reflexologist from International Institute of Reflexology for 22 years. Peggy was a member of New Grace Baptist Church She was preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Tilda Denton; brother, Tommy Denton and her husband, R. Russell Peters and step-daughter-in-law, Debbie Peters. She is survived by her wonderful sister, Deanna D. Eldreth; special nephew, Michael R. Eldreth, special great-nephew, Carter M. Eldreth; special niece, Linda Worley LeMaster; step-daughters, Mary Lou Gentry and husband, Steve, Teresa Osborne and husband, Jerry; step-sons, Russell G. Peters, Mark Peters and wife, Lottie, Kenneth Peters and wife, Jane; five step-grandchildren and thirteen great-step-grandchildren; special friends, Ralph Hoskins, Gwen Orman and her family. The family would like to thank many wonderful caregivers during her time of illness and to Dr, Charles Bolick. A special thanks to Kenneth Peters for all his devoted love and care. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Haynes and Rev. Bill Pealer officiating, The family will receive friends 1:00–2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Necessary, Jeff Ketron, Doug Rouse, Ralph Hoskins, Bill Brooks, Kenneth Peters and Mike Ingle.
