Ronald Raymond Dowell

Ronald Raymond Dowell, age 60, of Marion, VA passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Bristol Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was proceeded in death by his parents Emory and Charlcie Dowell; son, Raymond “Bubba” Dowell; three brothers, Hank, Paul Allen and Donnie Dowell. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Dowell; daughter, Amanda Dowell McClanahan and husband, Chris; step-daughter, Jessica Crabtree; sisters, Marie Booher and husband, Terry; Mae Slaughter;; six grandchildren, Gavin, Celina, Kaleigh, Myranda, Destiney, Rebal; several nieces and nephews, and several doggies and kitty kids. The celebration of life service will be conducted at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M., prior to the service. Flowers are appreciated but donations also welcome and encouraged to help with the funeral service.
