Virginia C. Goodman, age 96, of Hawthorne, CA., formerly of Bristol, VA., died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Gardena Memorial Hospital, Gardena, CA. She was born in Benhams, Va., the daughter of the late Fitzhue and Farrah Clark, the widow of Raymond Thurston Goodman. She was also preceded in death by one son, Tyrone Goodman of Hawthorne, CA. Virginia is survived by sisters, Edith Litton, Marie Meadows of Bristol, TN and Martha Helbert of Bristol, VA.; sister-in-law, Jane Clark of Elizabethton, TN; grandchildren, Sarah and Lincoln Goodman of Hawthorne, CA and Lance Medeiros of Sacramento, CA; great-grandchildren, Lawson and Lucas Medeiros and many special friends. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the graveside in Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Scott Price officiating. The family will receive friends 4:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, May 26, 2017 at Akard Funeral Home.
