Wayne Allen Morris

November 1, 1942 - February 10, 2021

Wayne Allen Morris, age 78, of Bristol, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Christian Care Center of Bristol. He was retired from Commercial Credit, and also worked part-time for the Bristol, TN Police Dept. as a crossing guard for Tennessee High School and Holston View Elementary for over 8 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving two tours during the Vietnam War. Wayne was also a member of the Bristol Life Saving Crew and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was born in Bristol, VA to the late Henry and Evelyn Morris. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Willie Mercer. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Morris; son, Christopher Waine Morris and wife, Theresa of Blountville, TN; daughters, Lindsey Morris of the home and Amber Morris of Bristol, VA; his fur buddy, Bandit and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Tosha, Rachel, Emily, Brittany, Trevor, Kevin and the staff of Christian Care Center of Bristol for their wonderful care during Wayne’s time there. A military graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in Mountain Home National Cemetery with Dr. Stan Anderson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be RC Jones, Marty Thomas, Gene Pierson, Matthew Walsh, Todd Gentry and Dean Kinder. Wayne will be out in a room Sunday and Monday from 10:00 – 4:30 P.M., for people to come pay their respects and sign the book.
