Wilma T. Haga

Wilma T. Haga of Bristol, Tennessee passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at NHC Healthcare of Bristol. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol, a daughter of the late Ola and Mary Redwine Thomas and the widow of Alvin Lee Haga. She was predeceased in death by her sisters, Dorothy Wright, Eddie Mercer, Gertrude Arnold and Mary Sue Kerr; brothers, Kyle Thomas, Morse Thomas, Ola Thomas. Mrs. Haga was a retired employee of the Bristol Tennessee School System after 28 years of service. She was a very active member and an Elder in the Windsor Avenue Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons: Thomas Lee Haga and wife, Laney, of St. Louis, MO and Michael Van Haga and wife Louise, of Hyattsville, MD; four grandsons: Brandon Haga, David Haga, Jeffery Haga and Bryant Haga; one granddaughter: Sabrina Haga; seven great-grandchildren : Gretchen Haga , Austin Lee Haga, Jayden Haga, Aniyah Haga, Samantha Haga, Owen Haga and Kasey Haga; Several nieces and nepews. The graveside funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Glenwood Cemetery with Dr. Mark Hutton officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Akard Funeral Home.
